High Performance Leagues

League Introduction

Arjun Archery Academy’s High Performance League gives archers a consistent, competitive environment to test their skills and track their progress. Each league runs for eight weeks. Archers may submit one qualifying score each week, and their best six weekly scores will count toward the final standings. This gives families flexibility to miss up to two weeks without affecting the archer’s overall result.

RULES

• One official scored round may be submitted each week.

• The best six scores from the eight-week league will count.

• Scores must be shot at the academy and verified by a coach.

• Archers must use the approved distance, target face, and bow division.

• Range safety rules and sportsmanship standards apply at all times.

• Ties will be decided by the highest number of 10s, followed by Xs.

POINT SYSTEM

• 1st place: 10 points

• 2nd place: 8 points

• 3rd place: 6 points

• 4th place: 5 points

• 5th place: 4 points

• All other participants: 2 points

• Bonus points may be awarded for a personal best, outstanding sportsmanship, or helping others.

RESULTS

Weekly standings and league results will be posted here. Results will include each archer’s weekly placement, league points, personal-best recognition, and overall standing.

LEAGUE STANDINGS
The Race to the Championship

Standings are updated weekly. Each archer may submit one official score per week, and the best six scores from the eight-week league count toward the final standings. League points determine ranking. Ties are decided by the number of 10s, followed by Xs.

For young archers, the public leaderboard will use a first name and last initial unless a parent or guardian approves the full name.

AWARDS & RECOGNITION
Archers can be recognized for achievement, improvement, and character.
Examples: League Champion • Most Improved • Personal Best • Sportsmanship • Consistency • Coach’s Choice

LEAGUE HALL OF FAME
An archer who wins the same division three times graduates to the Hall of Fame. The archer can move to a higher division or another eligible category, giving new champions an opportunity to rise.

Example: A three-time 10-meter Barebow champion may advance to the next distance or skill division.

LEAGUE PATHWAYS
Development League: Friendly weekly scoring, coaching support, personal-best goals, and age-appropriate distances.
High Performance League: Qualification standards, tournament timing, ranking rounds, seeded elimination matches, and limited coaching during scoring.

CHAMPIONSHIP DAY
The final week may include ranking, head-to-head elimination matches, gold and bronze medal matches, awards, photos, and Hall of Fame recognition.

PROGRESSION
Archers can advance to longer distances, smaller target faces, higher skill divisions, or another eligible bow category.
Example: A developing archer may progress from 10 meters to 18 meters; an experienced archer may qualify for High Performance eliminations.

SEASON HIGHLIGHTS
Selected seasons may include team matches, achievement badges, special challenges, and annual rankings.

ARCHER OF THE YEAR TROPHY
Presented annually to an archer who demonstrates outstanding performance, improvement, consistency, sportsmanship, and league participation. The award is based on the complete season—not only the highest score.

Example: An archer who steadily improves, attends consistently, supports teammates, and performs well in league and elimination rounds may earn the trophy.
